Field Day

On Thursday 6 June 2024, the third Delphy ISFC Field Day will be held at the Delphy ISFC facility in Horst. Thursday is our main event of the Delphy ISFC Summer Event. During the Field Day, there will be an exhibition with the complete soft fruit network, thematic seminars and the opportunity to visit strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and blueberry crops and trials at Delphy ISFC. During the evening at the Delphy ISFC Field Day Dinner, you have the possibility to network in an informal way. This brings a unique knowledge-based soft fruit event in the summer!

Visit outdoor crops

Our trials & crops of strawberry, blueberry, raspberry and blackberry in the outdoor production systems are open to visit. Feel free to approach one of our researchers while visiting the outdoor trials & crops for questions or explanation. The strawberry trials consists among other things about control of powdery mildew, resilient propagation, experience of new varieties and selections an different planting types. At the blueberry crop a pruning trial is present and beside that the use of air pots is trialled. The raspberry trials consists about the second production phase of double cropping with promising primocanes varieties. Last but not least propagation of blackberry plants is part of the outdoor trials. About all trials information regarding the set up of the trial is available in the beginning of the rows.

During guided tours the current trials at several greenhouse departments will be showed an explained. The trials consists among other things about lighted wintercultivation of everbearers, double cropping with everbeares, lighted cultivation with Junebeares, spring cultivation of black berries, strawberry growing on stone wool.

Delphy ISFC Field Day Dinner

The location of the Delphy ISFC Field Day Dinner is beside the Exhibition, at the food court. After the Field Day the bar is open. Dinner starts at 19:00. Registration is required and can be done at the registration form.

Impression previous Field Day

The second Delphy ISFC Field Day was organized in 2023. Almost 400 visitors from 25 nationalities, 12 speakers in 3 different seminars, over 40 exhibitors and a lot of soft fruit knowledge made this event a success. Leading and innovative Dutch soft fruit companies were visited during the Field Trip and with the Field Visit many visitors visited our Innovation Partners.
